Editing of the system and its scenarios and training scenarios will be done without coding.

Effectiveness of learning

The training scenarios included in the system will allow for the effective preparation of electricians to work with high, medium and low voltage devices.

The latest VR solutions were used to build the system, including goggles, gesture recognition and hand tracking, eye tracking and many more.

EMERALD

Boosting the scientific excellence in teaching in the field of conceiving and realizing of new types of biomimetic mechatronic systems for people with special needs– EMERALD Project Reference: 21-COP-0019 is part of The Education, Scholarships, Apprenticeships and Youth Entrepreneurship Programme – EEA Grants 2014-2021 which was funded within the key action “2021 Cooperation Projects in Higher Education Area”.

Technical University of Cluj-Napoca is Lead coordinator of the EMERALD project and the consortium is comprised by Technical Universities and SMEs partners that are coming from Norway, Romania, Poland and Slovakia. The main objective of the EMERALD project consists in providing teaching resources and methods in teaching in the field of conceiving and realizing of new types of biomimetic mechatronic systems for people with special needs.

EMERALD consists of 5 case studies - 5 biomechatronic, robotic devices for people with special needs.

Summer schools

Two summer schools were held in University of Agder (Grimstad, Norway), with intensive courses on biomechatronic devices development and studies.

A unique e-learning platform, made largely with virtual reality techniques, was made as part of the project.

BIOMEDIX

“Biomedical Innovations through Digital Transformation of Additive Technologies and Knowledge Exchange”. The Erasmus+ project focuses on using cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing, virtual reality and artificial intelligence to revolutionize the design and production of biomedical devices.

Key activities will include the creation of interactive e-books, toolkits and the e-Metaverse digital platform for immersive learning. The consortium consists of 6 universities (Latvia, Spain, Romania, Croatia, Serbia) and 2 industrial partners from Belgium and Germany. 2024-2027

Selected projects and studies that I participate into
Building a VR training system for forklift operators

The PoPoJutrze project implemented with EU funds and the Innovation Voucher with the Poznań Vocational Training Center.

We are developing a system for students to learn basic knowledge and skills while working with a forklift and a crane.

Design works started in 2017. System implemented in practice.

Design and production of incremental pre- and intraoperative aids in otolaryngology and maxillofacial surgery

Together with a team of surgeons from the Medical University of Karol Marcinkowski in Poznań, we develop pre- and intraoperative templates for reconstruction in the area of the skull.

Cooperation started in 2015, so far several dozen supported operations with the use of 3D printing. Laboratory of 3D Printing launched in University Hospital of Poznan.

Construction of a dynamic 3D scanner for measuring patient's limbs

Together with B3D S.A. we are developing a new 3D scanner for rapid measurement of patients' limbs for the design and 3D printing of orthopedic and prosthetic products.

Cooperation started in 2018, grant obtained in 2020. Currently second grant in progress, further B+R in development.
